Micromax has overtaken Samsung to become India's largest mobile phone vendor in Quarter 2,2014 according to reports.As per the report Micromax shipments share value in Q2 was 16.6% while Samsung share was 14.4%. This is the first time that the Samsung displaced from its apex place. Nokia was at the third position with share value of 10.9% followed by domestic brands Karbonn and Lava with share value of 9.5% and 5.6% respectively.
Samsung, Micromax and Karbonn are the leading smartphone brands with shipping of 8.5 million, 5.8 million and 2.3 million handsets in Q2.
